Carpe Today – Reflect
Take some time today to reflect on your day/month/year. Better yet, put those reflections on paper. Socrates once said, “the unexamined life is not worth living.” While this may seem extreme to some, it should at least make you ponder the benefits of honest introspection. Technology has made it easier to communicate in almost every way; however, few of us today seem willing or able to have a conversation with ourselves. I’m not talking about the kind of talking that leads to a room with padded walls. I’m talking about a truthful, internal dialogue that can help to answer important questions like “where am I going?” or “why do I want to get there?” Take a few moments today to write a journal or diary. I think you might find the experience liberating.
